Nepal is a haven for adventure in the Himalaya and it has drawn hundreds of EXPEDITIONS from all over the world to conquer its high mountains. Since the historic conquest of Mt. Everest,the highest mountain on earth, by Sir Edmund Hillary & Tenzin Norgay Sherpa in the early 50’s, Nepal’s mountains have been scaled again & again by expeditions from everywhere; and this trend is ever on the rise !

SHERPA SHANGRI-LA TREKS & EXPEDITIONS PVT.LTD. Presents Nepal to you and your clients in as many varied ways of explorations as can be imagined. Some of the ways to enjoy the splendor of Nepal are described below.

TREKKING: The Himalaya, the great “Abode of snow” that extends across Asia, offers the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world, & nowhere is this scenery more spectacular then in the Kingdom of Nepal. But the mountain is far from the valley of Kathmandu, so the best way to see them and appreciate their grandeur is to leave the city behind and walk to the foot of the peaks themselves. A walk through the hills of Nepal will not only give you a view of the mountains, but also take you through remote hill villages inhabited by hospitable people who truly enjoy sharing their experiences with you,

We invite you to join us on a visit to these remote regions to learn more about yourself and your world & to expand your physical & cultural horizons by traveling on foot through lands about which you have only dreamed.

SSTE. PVT.LTD. Arranges treks for families, small groups of friends and larger parties organized by clubs or travel agents. The treks last from seven days to a month or more. Although special short trips can be arranged, it is only on a journey of at least two weeks that the traveler can truly appreciate the splendors of Nepal. Treks are designed to meet the wishes of clients and thus may range in difficulty from easy low altitudes and pass crossings. Guided climbs and ‘alpine’ treks can be arranged to passes and peaks higher then 18,000ft. The trekking season runs from September to May. Monsoon treks can be arranged (Mustang, Mt.Kailash via Simikot ,Uppor Dolpo & Tibet Tour) upon request.

TREK GRADES:

A = Easy walking
B = Modderate walking (although the trek itself may be quite long)
C = Fairly vigorous hillwalking
D = Strenuous trekking involving altitude up to 18000ft,not always on established trails
E = Climbing involving snow and ice at altitude above 18000ft.
